Founded in 1999, Riverlands Polo allows anyone to learn and play the game of polo

Riverlands Polo caters for all levels from complete beginners right through to those that want to become masters of the sport. Each year Riverlands Polo coaches over 600 budding polo enthusiasts, and is responsible for over 30% of the current players registered with the Australian Polo Federation (APF).

Riverlands Polo operates out of Sydney’s leading public facility, the Windsor Polo Club, which is located about an hour northwest of Sydney’s CBD in the picturesque Hawkesbury Valley. The Windsor Polo Club was established in the early 70’s, has stunning grounds and facilities and also hosts premier tournaments such as The International Test Match, The Dudley Cup and The Ladies International.

Riverlands Polo provides a complete teaching solution to the game of polo through our ground breaking ISE program together with a string of 14 experienced polo ponies.

Riverlands Polo is considered to be one of the leading coaching facilities in the world. The facility is open year round offering the following:

Nicola Cole

Nicola started playing polo with Riverlands in 2010.  Nicola is also the Vice President for the Windsor Polo Club.

Nicola grew up on a property in the Cotswolds, UK and now continues to enjoy living in the country, just over the hill in the village of Glossodia.  

Nicola is passionate about polo and enjoys introducing new players to the sport and helping them develop and reach their full potential. Nicola is responsible for the daily running and management of Riverlands Polo.

Luke O'Leary

Riverlands Polo's head coach is Luke O'Leary, a 4 goal professional polo player who has over 10 years experience.  Luke gained his experience in coaching and playing by working with some of the best polo players from around the world. 

Luke is originally from Toowoomba in Queensland but has traveled all around Australia to advance polo coaching facilities, most recently prior to Riverlands, he developed The Victorian Polo Academy in Werribee, Victoria. 

Luke is never short of some family assistance with the sport of polo; his elder brother, Matt manages Reignwood Polo Club in China and his younger brother, Dan is an up-and-coming 3 goal player just recently picked as the youngest player for the Australian squad.

Luke is responsible for player development at Riverlands Polo including providing coaching and clinic services, livery, pony buying/selling and working individually with clients to help them achieve their polo goals.

In particular, Luke loves seeing new players entering the sport as well as existing polo players improving their polo skills and most importantly, having fun!
